    I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Malapit only once.  He seemed a very personable man, and he was somewhat taken aback at meeting me; a martial artist who owned a school in the same town as him, but didn't want to be considered competition.  He seemed willing to reserve judgment until he knew me better.
